Day 1: Saturday, September 26, 2020
Welcome to Il Borro!
Imagine staying in an authentic medieval village tucked away in the picturesque Tuscan country side just 45 minutes south of Florence. Now imagine that this medieval village was purchased by the Ferragamo family and that the entire village was converted into 38 luxurious guest rooms, each unique and given the undeniable Ferragamo style. It is simply magical!
We will be gathering for a welcome cocktail party where you will meet your guide Chef David Verzello and mingle with the other guests. Afterwards, we will enjoy dinner in Osteria del Borro, a gourmet restaurant with unforgettable meals overlooking the medieval village.

The Wine Estate San Filippo lies in the heart of the most beautiful part of the Tuscan countryside, just two kilometers from Montalcino. This landscape, with its magnificent vineyards where the Brunello is made, and the yellow cornfields of the Val d'Orcia, has been declared a World Heritage site by Unesco. We will have the opportunity to tour the winery delight in a private tasting and lunch.
When we return to Il Borro we will enjoy dinner in the Tuscan Bistro.

Badia a Coltibuono Cooking School
We have a very special execution planned to the Badia a Coltibuono. For over 1.000 years, Coltibuono has been an important farm and its land has been producing excellent wines and oils. A visit to this property is to appreciate the merging of past and present to experience and understand some of the finest local foods and wines of the region.
The first of its kind, the cooking school was created in 1983 by Lorenza dé Medici, internationally known author and writer of books on Italian culture and cooking. Today, Badia a Coltibuono cooking school, offers a pleasant encounter for every guest, as they can experience from the heart of the villa’s kitchen, recipes, dishes and wines in the local Tuscan tradition.
We'll return to Il Borro for another amazing dinner featuring a selection of Chef David's Tuscan favorites.
