A Culinary Tour of Tuscany

Day 1: Saturday, September 17, 2022
DAY 1 - BENVENUTI
Pick up at the Pisa Airport to be taken to the Villa. Upon
arrival, there will be a welcome reception with live
entertainment. A cocktail party to be followed by an
authentic Tuscan dinner.
Day 2: Sunday, September 18, 2022
DAY 2 - LUCCA
After breakfast at the villa, we will depart to Lucca for a
guided walking tour of the ancient walled city visiting a
local pasta maker, seeing the birthplace of Puccini and
more. We will then head to one of chef David’s favorite
local organic farms for an outdoor lunch with a view. We
will return to the villa to make dinner with chef David.
Day 3: Monday, September 19, 2022
DAY 3 - PASTA ALL DAY LONG
Today we will be spending the day at the villa with
cooking demonstrations in the morning for lunch and in
the afternoon for dinner. You will also have time to lay by
the pool or book a massage.
Day 4: Tuesday, September 20, 2022
DAY 4 - SUPER TUSCANS - BOLGHERI
After breakfast at the villa, we will depart by luxury motor
van to the home of the Super Tuscan Wines Bolgheri. We
will taste wines at Sapiao and meet with the winemaker. Al
fresco lunch at Tenuta San Guido - tasting one of the most
famous and highly rated wines; Sassicaia. A little
shopping at the ancient hilltop then back to the villa for a
dinner prepared by the chefs.
Day 5: Wednesday, September 21, 2022
DAY 5 - MARKET DAY IN PISTOIA
After breakfast in the villa, we will depart for the city
of Pistoia known for its Wednesday markets. We will
browse the stalls and haggle for culinary treasures.
We will return to the villa for a cooking
demonstration and dinner.
Day 6: Thursday, September 22, 2022
DAY 6 - CINQUE TERRE
After breakfast we will depart via luxury van to the
fabled Cinque Terre (the 5 seaside towns connected
by a walking path). We will walk the paths, shop and
have a magical seafood lunch in an ancient fort
perched on a cliff above the sea. Dinner will be
served back at the villa
Day 7: Friday, September 23, 2022
DAY 7 - LUCCA AND VORNO
This day you will have some free time to go back into
Lucca to shop or spend time by the pool. We will
have lunch at a local Enoteca where we will sample
several local wines and have the chef prepare a
paired meal. In the evening, we will have a farewell
dinner and cocktails with a private live opera
performance at the villa.
Day 8:Saturday, September 24, 2021
DAY 8 - ARRIVEDERCI
After breakfast, transportation will be arranged to the
Pisa Airport or the Lucca train station.
